Driver's License

A different perspective of the song ‘Driver’s License’:

I got my driver's license last week
Just like we always talked about
Cause you were so excited for me
To finally drive up to your house
But today I drove through the suburbs
Crying cause you weren't around

And you're probably with that blonde girl
Who always made me doubt
She's so much older than me
She's everything I'm insecure about
Yeah, today I drove through the suburbs
Cause how could I ever love someone else?

Based upon the first two paragraphs of the song:

A teenager’s parents were happy that their child got his/her driver’s license and could finally drive without relying on them. On a weekend the teenager was driving with a group of friends around the suburbs of the house and the parents had full confidence on the teenager. But the scene turned towards another side when a delivery truck rammed into the car killing the teenager and injuring the friends. The parents get a phone call about this shattering their heart since their child had just got the license a day before. The love of their life was no more due to an unfortunate incident.
